The Ist seminar on Aquaculture by products treatment and management, organized by the AquaReg subproject "Aquaculture By-Products Network", will take place in Vigo on the 23rd of November.

The main purpose of the seminar is to increase the awareness among the aquaculture industry about the importance of using appropriate and cost efficient management systems for a responsible management of their by-products and a responsible minimization of the environmental impact. The use of new technologies for REUSING, RECYCLING AND REDUCING (RR&R) the aquaculture sub products will be encouraged.

The Galician partner of the Aquaculture By Products Network", Mr. Salvador Guerrero, will also present the state of affairs of aqua by product management in BMW and Trøndelag, based upon the information forwarded by his partners in the project. He will also announce the launching of the website http://www.aquabyproducts.com/ where all the collected information in the 3 regions about regulation, companies, professional services, etc, is available, aiming to become a valuable tool for linking waste producers with waste managers and by-products producers.
