AQUAED: Education and training
Recruitment of personal is a critical issue for the aquaculture industry. Developments cannot be successful without skilled and well-trained employees. AquaEd introduces an interregional European dimension to education and recruitment in aquaculture, fisheries, and seafood industries in the co-operating regions. Interregional exchange will strengthen the international orientation of students, teachers and young professionals and make the professional perspective of marine industries more attractive. AquaEd will contribute towards formation of long-term collaborative relationships and increased workforce mobility between European coastal regions. Students, teachers and those engaged in aquaculture and managed fisheries will in AquaEd have the opportunity to learn and study in the other co-operating regions. AquaEd will cover exchange programs for schools/colleges and employees /trainees in the industry.
Possible AquaEd activities:
- Exchange of students, trainees/apprentices, teaching staff, researchers and experts.
- Exchange of personnel in industry providing opportunities for work placements and extension workers.
- Training courses directed towards fish farm managers and aquaculture industry decision-makers. |
